We offer a Solar Thermal installation service. Solar Thermal systems convert the suns rays to heat your hot water. They can be used to supplement your fossil fuel hot water system or they can be integrated to work with your heat pump controls. The water heated by the panels will be used first, which then lowers the cost of running the heat pump. These systems run in a more efficient way than a Solar PV panel, so you won’t need to have so many panels fitted to your roof. They are especially beneficial if your building has a high usage of hot water.

Site Visit, Survey and Quotation

We will initially arrange a visit to your property so we can provide you with a free quotation. We will carry out a survey on your roof to check what direction it faces. After our assessment of your property, we should then be able to give you a time scale as to how long your installation will take. Solar Thermal Heating

Solar panels are compatible with most existing hot water systems. However, you will need a new cylinder with two coils (all of which, we can provide). Ideally it should be big enough to hold two days worth of hot water.

If your present system is gravity fed, it will need a control (such as a valve and pump) for the hot water circuit so the panels can work effectively in winter when the boiler is running for central heating.
